Thirteen.02 does ACL!

The Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival celebrated 15 years this year and we can proudly say we’ve been there for 7 of them. We saw Mike Snow, LCD Soundsystem, Cage the Elephant and Two Door Cinema Club at our inaugural ACL, so it was a treat to see them again many years later (in better time slots!)

Thirteen.02 got the special treatment for ACL’s anniversary and scored a C3 guest wristband, which means VIP entrances, a lounge, free drinks and the most important thing: a REAL bathroom! No porta-potty for us! It was three days of friends, non-stop music and funky fashion. October usually means sweater weather, but not in Texas. It was pretty warm so we stuck to comfortable, breathable fashion. From oversized midi dresses to boyfriend jeans and tucked-in graphic tees, and of course, the go-to accessory – our Thirteen.02 watch!

ACL hosts over 100 bands across 8 stages, so seeing everything is impossible, but, we had our favorites such as, Ra Ra Riot, Radiohead, Cold War Kids, M83 and the aforementioned. All different vibes and equally great. The best part of the fest is discovering new artists. We heard rapper Lizzo throw down an amazing set; girl knows how to work a crowd. Her main message is female and body positivity, something we, at Thirteen.02, can never get enough of! You go girl!

Did you attend ACL on Weekend 1 or Weekend 2? Let us know which artists you enjoyed listening to the most! Can’t wait for year 8!
